Creating a Search Engine off of a MS Access Database
I'm working in Barbados this summer, building a database of drawings and plans for the University of the West Indies, where I am a student. I have catalogued all the plans, and I am in the process of entering the plan numbers and information.
I want to do two things. Attach jpeg images of each actual plan to the plan number in the database, and I want to create a search program that I can use to find information from the database. I am using Office 07 and I'm reading off of here for some help as to what exactly I need to do --->http://www.functionx.com/vbaccess/index.htm. I'm understanding what I'm reading, but it's not really helping. I've used qBasic before, but that was years ago. Some details on what I need to do would be much appreciated. |
