Birthdays in outlook 2007

Is there a way to handle birthdays for a family (husband, wife, kids) in outlook contacts and have the dates automatically appear in the calendar. I see that you can use 'details' and enter a single birthday and anniversary for a contact.

If you enter the information in the contacts, it will automatically appear on the calendar in Outlook. You don't have to do anything else.

Re: Birthdays in outlook 2007

What information do I enter. I understand that I can enter a single birthdate and an anniversary date in the details portion of a contact. What do I do if the contact is a family (2 parents, 3 kids). Where do I enter the kids birthdays and the spouse birthday. How will this then get to the calendar application.

Re: Birthdays in outlook 2007

I would create a contact for each person. So, if it's a family of 5, I would make 5 contacts. It may seem like a lot of work, but it will automatically put the birthdays on the calendar AND set them as recurring so you don't have to do it again next year.

Re: Birthdays in outlook 2007

I realize that creating 5 contacts would work, but I would like to figure a way for the calendar application to recognize several birthdays under one contact.
