PowerPoint slide-show without opening the program
Hello there!
I'm new to PowerPoint and have just created my first slide-show. I want, when turning on the computer, to watch the slide-show without opening the PowerPoint itself. Thanks for any clues, Peter |

Find where you have your powerpoint slideshow. Right click it, then click create a shortcut. Then right click and copy the shortcut. Next, right click start and then click explore. Click on the + next to programs (right under start menu). Right click startup and click paste.
This will cause that ppt file to run on startup. If you no longer wish it to run, click start, programs, startup and right click your ppt and click delete.

MS PowerPoint Viewer is the solution
Hi! Thanks for answering
I did what you recommended but that resulted in opening the PowerPoint as if I wanted to edit the slides or something. There is a Microsoft program - MS PowerPoint Viewer - intended for people who need to share their presentations with other users who don't even have the PowerPoint. You can see it here It solved my problem. |

You can also do a Save As and save your PPT as a Powerpoint Show file (.PPS). Thsi will open directly into the slide show without going thru the "normal" Powerpoint dialogs.
