ghost link to someone else's .pst?
A co-worker/friend once accessed his Outlook personal folder from my computer. I'm sure he disconnected from the .pst after he used it because his personal folder never showed up after that in my Outlook. Weeks later, his outlook personal folder wouldn't open and he called the help desk. They told him that his personal folder was already in use by my username. I was not linked to his personal folder. How did this happen? The only clue I have is that our company was switching from Win2000 to XP at the time. Other than that, I don't know any changes going on to cause this. Do you know how that old linkage could have occurred and made his personal folder get linked to my email? Microsoft does some quirky things, I know, but I'd like to get to the bottom of this so it I can tell our help desk since they now have on record that my username was linked to someone else's personal folder!!! And I had no idea where his personal folder was, but they don’t know that! Any ideas you have regarding how this may have happened will be appreciated!
