OS: Windows XP SP3


Problem with Communication between Windows Live Messenger and Yahoo Messenger

Hi,

Details:
1. I use the following OS: MS Windows XP Professional SP2.
2. I have the following version of MSN Installed: Windows Live MEssenger, Version 2009 (Build 14.0.8064.206)

Issue:

1. I can connect without any issues using my messenger ID
2. initially using the older version of the messenger, I was able to talk to all Yahoo users using MSN Messneger.
3. After, I upgraded myself to the new version, I am not able to IM with Yahoo users.
4. They can see me online and message me.
5. But I am not able to reply to them and they appear online to me.
6. This issue happens with all Yahoo users.

Can you please help me resolve this issue.

Additional Detail:

1. I have the folloiwng entry in my host file to enable me to connect to Windows Live Messenger:
65.54.239.80 messenger.hotmail.com
