Problem when I close MS-Word 2007
I recently switched from Office 2003 to Office 2007. Overall the new version is good but I am facing the following problem:
95% of the times and when I close MS-Word 2007, the error messages shown in the attached images come up. Does any one have any clue as to why I am facing this problem and what could be the possible solution? Thanks |

Re: Problem when I close MS-Word 2007
I searched on the web and came across a tip that if I have a HP printer as the default printer, this problem comes up. I have not encountered the word crashes ever since I changed the default printer. Sound pretty weird tough :)

Re: Problem when I close MS-Word 2007
MicroSoft and HP are aware of the problem and are trying to find a fix for it. Meanwhile they recommend setting the default printer to anything not HP.
Go ahead and send the error report as this information helps them define the problem and gives them information about various system configurations that will need to be able to work with whatever fix they devise. I use a pdf printer as my default. It saves me money because now I don't accidentally print stuff to paper if the mouse moves before I click.

Re: Problem when I close MS-Word 2007
Hi morland,
Ah, that problem. It's a faulty HP driver for their all-in-one printers, especially. AFAIK HP has been aware of this for around 18 months, so I don't think they're terribly interested in doing anything about it.
