Horrendous problems with Office 2003

I've recently installed Office 2003 on WIN 2K Pro and its giving me nightmares.

Outlook
1. When I load Outlook, my procesor usage jumps to 100% and pc crawls to a halt, It takes minutes for it to unfreeze.
2. Then, With the Business Contact Manager, there is a problem connecting to database engine.
3. Next. When I cancel I am then told BCM cannot load all my data.
4. Finally. Outlook then attempts to load Word and I am then presented with another error that tells me Word has detected a verison of Adobe PDF Maker that is known to cause instablities. To resolve this I am advised to down load an update frtom Adobe. This doesnt solve anythnig. Im running Adobe ACrobat 4.0

Can anyone plesae help me?

You've prolly already checked this, but does your computer meet the sys requirements for Office 2003?

233MHz
128 RAM
I know you said you're running Win2k... so you need service pack 3 or later
