Desktop Heap
Will an increase in the desktop heap (Windows XP Professional) improve the performance of my Office programs? What about the separately allocated heaps?
In particular I am havng trouble with Word. Large files sometimes freeze, then report an error and a warning that the program will now close because of....the error. A less frequent error with Excel is that the display sometimes becomes corrupted (shows only half a column and sometimes misses/hides data). |
