subselect in mail merge
Hi,
I need to make an automated mail letter which for each customer (SELECT) retrieves each open invoice (SUBSELECT). That is not a problem using my script BUT the number of subselects causes an equal number of empty pages minus 1. So, for example, if 1 customer has 3 open invoices, the merge will show the correct info on page 1 but gives back also empty pages 2 and 3 before going to the next customer. Question is how can I remove the page breaks in the subselect loop? Tx! |

Re: subselect in mail merge
Hi pebber,
Perhaps you need a Catalog/Directory merge (the terminolgy depends on the Word version). To see how, check out my Word 97-2007 Catalogue/Directory Mailmerge Tutorial at: http://www.wopr.com/index.php?showtopic=731107 or http://www.gmayor.com/Zips/Catalogue%20Mailmerge.zip Do read the tutorial before trying to use the mailmerge document included with it. The example titled 'Merge Records by Category Using Two Keys' might best suit your needs.
