Hello I was wondering if anyone knows how i can basically split a document into four squares so I can print four flyers per page rather than one.
Help is appreciated thx. Last edited by MikenandezNST; 04-13-2009 at 06:07 PM. |

Re: Help with printnit a file four times using one page.
Have you tried inserting 4 text boxes on the page, each box 1/4 of the available page (approx 3.5w X 4.8h depending on margins) and then dumping your flyer content into each text box?

Re: Help with printnit a file four times using one page.
I'm using Word 2003. Set up your page margins from File/Page Setup. Don't know what size paper you are using so just adjust your dimensions for maximum usage. From the Menu select Insert/Text box and then click on the page and you will get about a 1" square box. Right click on the thick border and select Format Text Box.
Now use the Layout tab and Size tab to position the text box in the upper left corner of the paper. Generally you'll want to position the box relative to the margin, left and top for this first box. When you size it remember to uncheck "Lock aspect ratio". Once you have this first box formatted, its a good time to save a backup copy of the work done so far. Now if you go back into the Format Text box options, look at the Text box tab. Those settings affect how the contents of the text box are positioned. Now create your flyer within the textbox. Check out the other options available under the Insert menu, especially the Picture options available. Once you get this first text box/flyer created, just make another text box in the upper right quadrant of the paper, align and size it and then copy and paste the contents of the first text box into it. Rinse and repeat for the bottom half of the page. Save often, work slow and remember there is an Edit/Undo menu option (ctrl-z). Good luck and happy designing.
