excel 2003 help please!
I am a newbie excel user and I am having trouble figuring out what formula to use to achieve a desired result. I have a column of numbers, and I need to drop the last digit off of each number in the column. I know that using a formula like this: =LEFT(F2,LEN(F2)-1)
gives me the desired result on one value in the column (in this case the second value in column F), but I can't figure out how to apply a similar formula to the entire column. Thanks for any help! |

Re: excel 2003 help please!
Hi and welcome.
Assuming you want to apply this to the whole column, and you have data in the column to the left of your formula, click on the cell with the formula, move the mouse to the bottom right corner until the pointer changes to a small cross, then double click. Excel will fill in the formula down the column - the formula will also adjust for each new row. Is this what you mean?
