I have a user who has got a problem printing emails. Every time they try to print they receive an error as follows: "There is a problem with the selected printer. You might need to reinstall the printer. Try again, or use a different printer". The first thing I did was uninstall and re-install the printer and when I tried the print the email I got the same error. The next thing I did was try and use another printer and I got the same error which then lead me to believe it is NOT a printer problem. One thing I have noticed though is the emails they are having trouble printing are in "Rich Text" format. I then copied and pasted the contents of the email into a new HTML email and was able to print it just fine. I then thought maybe it might be a corrupted Normal.dot since they use Word as the editor, so I renamed it so Word could create a new one and then tried to print the email and I got the same results.
I have completely removed Office 2007 then installed it again thinking something else might be corrupted. I have tried everything I can think of without any luck. I even went as far as creating my own profile on the computer, had them forward the email to me, then I tried to print it and it printed just fine. Any ideas? |
