Vista and Word 2000 but it won't work!

Hello. I have windows vista and use Word 2000 which was working fine until two weeks ago. I turned on my laptop after using it a few hours previous and found that Word wouldn't work. Every time I open the program it displays the thinking/busy circle/icon and then crashes. I can't open any kind of document which is stressing me out as I have coursework!
Can someone please help me?!

Hi,

Have you tried repairing your Office installation - you can do this via the Windows Control Panel.

I'm having the same problem and haven't got a clue as to how to fix it. I have uninstalled, repaired, etc. but nothing works.

for various series of troubleshooting steps that will help you track down (and hopefully solve) the problem.
