40 page document opens up blank

Hello,

I have a really unusual problem and wanted to know whether it can be fixed. Basically i am using word 2007 n i have a document which is 40 pages. it used to open up fine. but now when i open it up it opens up 6000 blank pages! can anyone help me?

Sounds like the file got corrupted somehow. I'm not sure of any ways to recover corrupted files other than pulling from a backup (you do backup your files, right?) or recovering from shadow copy, if enabled.

The advice above may be right. However, it may also be a memory issue. Depending on how large the file is (especially if it contains graphics and charts) it may be too much for the onboard memory. Also check if the size of the file is changed.
