How to stop Outlook 2007 trying to send "invisible" messages?

I have recently changed ISP from Supanet to Virgin - my Supanet mailbox is now "read only", but Outlook is still trying (and of course failing) to send 4 messages via Supanet. These messages do not appear in Outbox. Someone suggested they may be Receipts?
Does anyone know how I can delete these unsent messages?
My PC is XP Pro SP3, Outlook 2007 SP1.

Why not delete the account itself...

It will be several months before I have changed everyone's links to the old mailbox, so I cannot delete it yet. However, I did try removing then re-adding the Supanet account, but without success - Outlook still found something to send!
