Trouble with different currencies
Hello, Im having trouble executing formulae on the same worksheet using different currencies, that is to say, I get a Value error. Am I missing a setting that will allow me to use different currencies? Thanks in advance, Techdunce

Re: Trouble with different currencies
If you're using office 2007, highlight the cells you want to format as a different currency and click on the arrow next to the $ button to select a different symbol.
If the symbol you want isn't there, use the Format Cell command and change the symbol there.

Re: Trouble with different currencies
Thanks for the reply Gistek, Im using office 2003. If I make a calculation in, for example, sterling, then I cant make a calculation in any other currency on that worksheet. Thanks again, Techdunce

Re: Trouble with different currencies
In a very old spreadsheet application, you couldn't have any non-numeric symbols in a cell used for calculations. (, and. were permitted)
So I added a column in front of any money columns and entered the $ in that column.

Re: Trouble with different currencies
Sorry for the delay in replying. And yes, I can do a calculation without symbols, or all in one currency, and then add in another currency symbol later, just thought I should be able to do it all in one go, thanks again,Techdunce
