A MASTER doc that pulls text from a library of supporting docs into
OK, here's what I'd like to do (which I think MANY others want to know):
I would like to create a master document for our sales force that pulls text from other supporting documents in a pre-defined library of documenents using "insert document" via add-ins. The library of supporting docs are anaswers to questions. Yes, I know you can do this by using the insert file tab. But there should be some sort of macro to use, which allows you to define a group of supporting documenents that reference the master doc. Specifically, I want to be able to post an executable of some sort to my wiki, that contains the master and all the associated library of supporting documents, where all the user needs to do is click on "insert Document tab" and gives them the choice to insert text, grouped into a series of subject drop-downs (which may be anaswers to questions for example, grouped by question type). Make sense? Below is some code someone posted, but doesnt reference the library of supporting docs or how to package the whole thing together for others to use. An exe is useful for the sales team to download frequest updates and changes to the supporting library anaswer base. Help me o'wise one?? ![]() Private Sub Document_Close() For Each iCtrl In ActiveDocument.CommandBars("Menu Bar").Controls 'checks for existence of _ 'Insert Documents menu._ 'If found calls delAllControls to_ 'delete its existing menu items. If iCtrl.Caption = "Insert Document" Then iCtrl.Delete ElseIf iCtrl.Caption = "Preview Document" Then iCtrl.Delete End If Next iCtrl End Sub |
