Spell Check MS Office Home&Student 2007

My spell check isn't working properly. When I use it, it gets stuck on simple words like; notice, from, please and many others. The words that it recommends to replace are sometimes (but not always) in other languages. The language setting is in English, but I cannot trust the spell checker to be correct... How do I fix it.?

Please install any third party software.
or else please run repair in add/remove programs.
