Re: MS outlook address book
Are you using Outlook '03?
My Outlook Address Book (specifically) says I can't add addresses to it. Personally, I'd use Contacts lists in Outlook anyway. When you use "the other" program to do an export, it's okay to export to a text file. Either tab delimited or comma delimited will work. Comma delimited my favorite. Outlook will easily import a CSV into Contacts. You may have to map the fields so the correct data ends up in the desired place. IOW, the email address info ends up in the email address place. |

Re: MS outlook address book
The only problem with comma delimited files is when there are data elements that contain commas, like "John Smith, Jr."
If you have that situation, export to a tab delimited file Open the file in Word Delete all commas (Find/Replace with comma in the Find field and nothing in the Replace field) Replace all Tabs with commas Saveas a .CSV file.
