Outlook 2000 Taskpad disappeared

A few days ago when I opened up Outlook in calendar view I noticed that all my items on the task pad were gone. The space for the task pad is still there. I can see and even click on the check boxes that are on the far left side but everything to the right of the check marks is now a blank white rectangle. I cannot even see the bar titled "tasks" It seem like a white blank window somehow got dragged over the part of the pad where in input goes...

I can still see the tasks if I open up the individual task window but I would really like to see the tasks as a part of the calendar.

I tried resizing the windows but no luck.
I tried system restore...no luck.
I googled around but no luck.
What next?

Re: Outlook 2000 Taskpad disappeared

This issue is driving me nuts. I uninstalled outlook and then installed it but it brought back all my old settings including this annoying error. Is there a way to completely uninstall outlook?

Re: Outlook 2000 Taskpad disappeared

For some reason I went to the view tab in Calender and under current view I selected day/week/month with auto preview and that fixed the problem. Hopefully if someone else has this issue they will find this post in the archives.
