Outlook 2003 Distribution Lists (Importing/Exporting)
Hello:
First let me thank you in advance for any help that you can give me. Here's my discalimer...I have no idea what I am talking about so if I don't use the correct verbage I appologize, but I'm sure those of you who do know what you're doing will get the gist of what I'm trying to accomplish. I am creating an e-vite for my company's Open House party. E-vite will let me import (upload) contacts from Outlook however i do not want to upload all of my contacts. Can I upload just the distribution list? If so, how do I do that. If the distribution list is not in MY contacts but in a co-worker's contacts do I have to copy the list to my contacts? I have access to everyone's contacts in my office and the distribution list that I'm using is actually in my co-worker's Outlook. All I need from the distribution list are the e-mail addresses; not the names. This is how they are listed: Joe Smith (joesmith@wth.com) joesmith@wth.com I need the e-mail addresses in a format that I can simply copy and paste into e-vite. Very simple, except I can't figure out how to do it. I can't just highlight the e-mail address because the whole line highlights. I've turned it into a PDF then converted to a Word document, but going through and fixing the format for over 400 name and e-mail addresses is entirely too time consuming. Ideally I would like for the information to be in Excel so that I can simply add it to the other information I have compiled from various people in my office (keeping everythig together). Please tell me there's an easier way to get what I want. If you find it, please understand i'm going to need step by step instruction (please be remineded of the disclaimer at the top - I know nothing) Thank you, MLB Last edited by mlburke; 10-21-2008 at 10:36 AM.
