[SOLVED] Office 2003 opens Documents very slowly
Hi There!
I'm experiencing some troubles since I installed Office 2003 on my XP pc and on my laptop! About every 4th or 6th time i try to open a Word document, it takes up to 5 minutes till this document is being opened! I really wonder why & Microsoft couldnt help me til now!  Any tips for me to solve this problems? EDIT: i have no printers currently installed so it is NOT an problem with any printers... |

EDIT:
I also tried to delete the normal.dot, and then it starts up very quick but the next time i try to open its slow again... i also checked if i have all the updates from microsoft - got them - and, i also ran through the "locate & repair" in the help section... nuthing worked here |

EDIT: I now also disabled any AV-Appz that was running on the 2 Sytems, and still the same problem! I really dunno any further things to do...

it just cant be that microsoft has no solution to this problem... i read from a lot of ppls that have same problem goin on but no real solution to this...!

So... I just figured out that most Office programs are slowed down by Outlook Journaling, which can be turned off in the Regedit... funny as it is, Outlook journaling also is enabled when u dont even have outlook installed... this has fixed my problems for about 90 %...
