Outlook 2003 with sharepoint

I just recently setup a microsoft sharepoint service hosted by 1and1. Now I have an issue, I have Outlook installed on two laptops with the same account on both of them. One of the computers is part of a domain that is protected and it will be taken off the network if emails are being sent and recieved through outlook. The corperation uses Lotus Notes currently. The IT guy said If i can setup the account on Outlook as long as it is not being used for emailing purposes, It can still be used to syncronize contacts and calendar events. Now the question that I have is... is there a way to disable email sending and recieving on the outlook email client but I need it to still in a sense send and recieve so it can sync the contacts and calendar events. I figured that this would be possible through the client settings but I can not find it. Please I really need help finding a fix for this situation. Basically, I need outlook just for syncing contacts and calendar information and not be used for sending and recieving emails. Please respond with any ideas or any instructions on how to achieve my goals. Thank you very much and please I need this to work out! Now I know I can use the web portal on that pc but daily everything will be sync to a blackberry phone using the usb cable, you can not achieve this using the web portal only using outlook. There has to be a way to achieve this but I know if I turn off the send/recieve that will also disable anyother type of information being sync'd automatically. Thanks!
