Word 2007 won't exit
I'm having an issue with with Word on a computer at work. The user is able to use Word but when he tries to exit, the Word window goes white and a messege pops up informing how to force it to exit.
Does any body know what could be some possible causes. I've been researching for a while but cannot find anything other than issues with other Office programs not opening. Any help would be much appreciated, thanks. |

Re: Word 2007 won't exit
I figured out what the issue was and thought you guys might want to know. It was a problematic add-in that was causing Word to crash on exit. This had me stumped because the only issues I could find solutions for were issues in which Word would crash when you tried to open it. Fortunately there weren't a lot of add-ins for me to test so things worked out rather quickly.
If you want to test to see if its an add-in that is causing the problem just go to start>run.. and enter ""WINWORD.EXE /a" to run Word without any add-in and see if you can run it without getting the error. If it runs correctly then its an add-in causing the problems. Now you just have to figure out which one it is. Last edited by PG Croat; 10-21-2008 at 12:14 PM. |
