Data capture

I have linked live data to an excel spread sheet It changes in real time. I am trying to figure out how to capture and log that data on a time basis. I want to capture it every 15 minutes and log it to use in trend charts. I can not find any way to copy cell info based on formulas??

Roll Eyes Re: Data capture

I took a look at that and still confused I will give it a try though. Is that a macro? or a formula?

I cannot find anything about worksheet change event selection he refers to?

Re: Data capture

Hi

It is Visual Basic code - a macro. The code reacts to a change in a cell value - in this case your live feed and updates another sheet with the data. This creates a log file of values, otherwise your live feed would simply overwrite each value. It will likely need some tweaks to suit you - can you post a sample sheet, remembering to remove any sensitive data? You'll need to zip the file. Please also detail what values you would like and where you would like them to go. Might take me a day or two (really busy at the moment) but shouldn't be too much of a problem.
