Major Office 2003 problem

Hi Guys,

I'm having huge problems with my Office 2003 version. We use multiple pc's and some are heffing the problem.

The problem is that a document created with Office 2000 on Windows 2000 wil not/badly open with Office 2003 on Windows XP. It will open if you dont touch your pc for about 30min. If you close the network connection the document wil open instantly without the problem. If you copy its content to a new document and save that one the problem is solved. We have so much .doc files thats really not an option.

We tried to run in save mode "start->run-> winword.exe /a" and "start->run-> winword.exe /save" but this makes no difference.

Can someone please help. Maybe the problem is a Windows setting but i dont now anything to check anymore. Any help would be appreciated

I hope my English is understandable.

Best regards,
