Cannot resolve error message for Microsoft Word

whenever I try to open a MS Word file, I keep getting I keep getting an error message telling me to go to :
C:\Program Files|Miscrosoft Office\Office 11.
I'm fine up to that point. Then the message continues:

SetUp.CHM to look for Office source engine to solve the problem. I cannot access this part. Please advise.
