Excel cannot open a spreadsheet resource error
At least two users on different machines (HP 6910P, XP, Office 2007, with 2G memory) experience the following error at different times:
Excel cannot complete this task with available resources. Choose less data or close other.... then when you click OK Excel found unreadable content in "name of file". Do you want to recover the contents of this workbook?...... This is happening with Excel minimized but with not with an active worksheet up and the user clicks on an Excel attachment while in Outlook. At this point, both Outlook and Excel have to be closed down and then reopened. It also happens with the other user (HP 7800 desktop also with 2G memory) when Excel is open with an active sheet and Word is open with an active document and the user tries to switch between the two apps to copy information. At this point, the screen is not mapping correctly and must be shut down. |
