License Codes

Hi,

Is there any way of checking if your product key and license code is valid? (As in rightfully purchased and not downloaded or pirated)

We got this mail saying that they suspect we have illegal microsoft office softwares. They want receipts for the proof of purchase, but who's gonna keep 3 year old receipts. I know these microsoft offices are legal because I bought them myself.

I was wondering if there is a tool that produces a report or confirmation that says your license code and product key is valid and legal.

Thanks.

Re: License Codes

Hi,
Who is saying you have illegal software exactly, Microsoft????????
I doubt very much they would email you, and certainly wouldn't be asking for receipts, as Microsoft can automatically detect illegal software and then stop updates to your product etc.............

Sounds to me this is a spoof email you have here, i might be wrong but i for one have never heard of this happening to someone running illegel software.

Re: License Codes

It's a software legal issue company or something. Either way, this is a serious problem if things go out of hand.

Re: License Codes

Make sure you do not reply in an email with your current serial #'s!!!
Wow, yea, sounds like a spoof.

--off topic--
There was a business man from Africa that wanted to use my bank account to store a few mil one time. He said he'd make it worth my while, but I turned him down.
