Outlook 2007 and IMAP

I have a weird issue that just started with my IMAP account on Outlook 2007. When I go to delete a message on the IMAP account, the message disappears (instead of simply being "crossed out" before purging".) However, when the folder syncs back up with the IMAP server, the message reappears. I have already tried removing the account and recreating it. Any ideas?

what is your structure in outlook?

1 personal folders and 2 IMAP emailadress? Where do these mails arrive?
