I have been using Outlook 2007 for a year on my AMD Dual Core with 3 GBs RAM, no problem, until last night. The Outlook opening page termplate opens blank and then everything freezes. Only way to close program is using Con-alt-del, and when I retry Outlook, it asks me Yes or No if I want to use Outlook in Safe Mode...I do, and then it opens in SafeMode, but without any of my older files, etc.
1. Is this a new problem with Outlook 2007? Is there a known fix? 2. I used the Diagnostic tool and received an error message on step 8, I think, but it didn't offer any suggestions to correct. What else can I do to fix or test using Safe Mode, or does the list of error numbers tell someone what they need to know to fix? 3. What does Outlook 97 opening only in Safe Mode tell me that I don't understand? Should I just reinstall from my Office 07 disc, or uninstall everything first via Add/Remove and then reinstall the three programs I use....like it was before yesterday's problem? Thanks Last edited by Birdbrain2; 08-10-2008 at 04:27 PM. |
