Office 2007 Problem

I was having a problem with my IPAQ PDA synching to my computer. I found information that stating the re-installation of OFFICE 2007 could possibly clear the problem. I attemted to un-install office 2007 -- it would not complete. I have now tried to re-install office 2007, it just tells me that MS Office 2007 encountered an error during setup.

MS OFfice now will not work at all. What can I do to fix office 2007?

Re: Office 2007 Problem

Obtain information from the setup log to see if that sheds any light:
Start > Run
Type %temp% and press enter
In the temp folder that appears, use the Details View and look for the most recent SetupExe(xxxxxxxxxxxx).log file
Open it and see if it gives you any information on what the issue may be, typically towards the end of the log.

Also, check the Event Viewer immediately after it happens:
Right-click on My Computer
Manage > Event Viewer
Check the Microsoft Office Sessions log for any Errors and note what they are back here
Check the System log for any Errors and note what they are back here
