Issues with Outlook/hotmail

Hi,

Not too sure if i'm in the right forum for this one because it may be a Hotmail issue but i owe someone some money and only have 1 contact i.e their hotmail address but whenever i send an email from outlook i get this response. I have no reason to believe that the person would have closed the account or blocked me as the amount of money is substantial and they are expecting it, furthermore they only have my email account as a contact.

.........@hotmail.com on 5/08/2008 9:08 AM
There was a SMTP communication problem with the recipient's email server. Please contact your system administrator.

Is it likley that the account has been closed or is it a hotmail technical issue???

Re: Issues with Outlook/hotmail

Do you get the same message if you try sending an email from another account, like a web-based email account (Yahoo, Live, etc.)?

Re: Issues with Outlook/hotmail

The response wasn't identical but very similar. i used hotmail/gmail and outllook at work accounts all failed for three days.

I informed hotmail support of the issue. i dont know what they have done but it was fixed this morning (at least i think so - the emails haven't bounced but im not sure if they have arrived yet, i can only assume they have)...

Re: Issues with Outlook/hotmail

most likely an issue on their end. You could always go grab a couple other (uncommon) accounts online and give them a try.
