Office, and word, no runtime, but creating install?

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read my problems, and I hope you can help verify a solution.

We have tried copying backups to our flash drives of our programs, many being word documents and the word and office program files themselves.

We copied the folder, which is a primary word in this post, we did not move or delete anything to the extent of my knowledge although a folder is missing in space where it probably should have been.

Every single office program opens up but word.

Even when we open other office tools even outlook express, the installer for office comes up, but we cancel and it brings up every other program.

BUT! Word will not come up at all.

Next to our Microsoft front page folder in our program files, there is a missing folder where I guess a folder was before. The folder is missing to the left side of the front page folder, and I am unsure.

The Microsoft's office folders that are copied are the same size and everything and we can not find any problems between the copied version of it and the program folders.

One problem we find is that our computers came pre installed with Microsoft office 10. So we do not have a disc for the program, or at least not to my knowledge we don't.

We hope you can help us....

If you need any more information please ask, this is a problem we really need fixed, and I would be glad to give more info if that is needed.

Re: Office, and word, no runtime, but creating install?

Sorry for the double post, but we found that we are missing a file name for the install exe location. The files name is spelled PROPLUS.MSI.

Upon searching, this file is not present on our computer, is there any reason why the file would not be present, where from it must have been present at one time or another? The file is required to install without a disc, and unfortunately is not present. I believe this only presents the install problem, and not the ability to not open word.

HA well NVM everyone, we are glad to say in the same day we solved our problems after about 3 hours of searching. The problem persisted since we did not have a proper install file, which was not only the PROPLUS.MSI.

But also the OFFICE1.exe was required.

In the future you may find both if you have problems, from our search, we found this website. that contains the proper files for download to either reinstall or repair a broke Microsoft office.

Thanks a bunch, for any one who read this post.
