[SOLVED] Wierd Folders in Deleted Items Outlook 2003
Hey Everyone,
I have researched this to no avail....and this is by boss' email so important doesn't even begin to describe the urgency. Under her Deleted Items are 2 folders that I assume were generated by the system somehow - They are Recovered 8082 and Recovered 80C2 - They contain thousands of emails that should have been hard deleted. When I try to delete these folders of even just emails within them I get the "messaging interface has an unknown error" message or a message saying that I don't have permission to delete the folder. I have tried repairing the .pst, I have tried exporting (that bombs with the permissions error). I am trying to clean out her files as best I can, because things have been very slow. She is one who keeps around 700-800 emails in her inbox and over 3000 in her sent box. I thought if I could get rid of these two wierd files, it might help things. Many thanks in advance. |

Re: Wierd Folders in Deleted Items Outlook 2003
If you're sure that you don't need the items in the deleted items folder, try creating a new PST file, make it the default pst, then import all folders EXCEPT the deleted items folder. Tedious, but that should do it.
