Having a problem with Excel loading very slowly, but only on certain computers. Our main desktops load fine, but on our laptops Excel loads VERY slowly but only under one user name. Excel loads fine on the laptop when using several other employee user names, but when one specific user name is used the Excel bogs down and takes forever to load. Tried using the %1 fix - nothing. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Re: Excel very slow to load
Hello AGIHR, I ran into a similiar issue with Word and Excel. I noticed that my firewall picked up on some internet activity and asked if it should be allowed, so being from Microsoft, I allowed it. After that, I noticed the issue started whenever I tried to open a document. I uninstalled Microsoft Live Office that was added recently with Microsoft Update and Viola, fixed. Everything is back to normal again. Microsoft can keep their Live office features, I do not think they have any business snooping on our documents anyways. Not sure why they would require internet access to a document if we are not specifically asking for support on the program or document. Anyways, I hope this helps.
