Word 2000 not saving

Seen a closed thread in this topic but the solution to that thread did not work for my problem. Running Windows Xp Pro Sp2 and also W2k Sp4, Office 2000 Pro no sp. Problem is I cannot save or save as from roaming profiles. I am on a domain with multiple users. local users can save word files. Tried detect/repair. Nothing. Deleted normal.dat file. Nothing. Anything else anyone can think of I could try? TIA

is there anything different about it when you open this file compared to the others?
permissions?

No Sir, Nothing happens and as for permissions, the settings are all the same. The only thing I can think of is something within roaming profiles. Doesnt matter if the file is created as a new file or existing file. TIA dcraker

I have another question. Why would it affect only one computer? I tried to save on the computer that is giving me problems. When I go to another computer and save with the same account I could not save on the problem computer, I can. Wierd!?!? I am going to try and make a new roaming profile account and see if that helps. Just airing out my mind. :)
