Windows Mail 6 - can't open attachment.

Any (VLC) .wmv attachment won't open from incoming Windows Mail... it says "This file does not have a program associated with it.... Create an association in the Set Associations control panel". I can "Save As" the attachment and then it will open OK but not directly from the email. (Am running Vista Home Prem) Can't seem to find out how to set an association to fix problem. Thanks Ken
