I've just started a new job, and one of my tasks is to setup a call logging system for our (tiny) helpdesk using sharepoint.

Now, although I'd heard of it beforenow, this si the first time I've ever seen it or even touched one of the CDs...

So i now understand WSS and MOSS, and I have all the basics down. SP is installed, with both WSS and MOSS, and I now need to start work on creating this logging system.

The question is, where do I start??? I'm not looking for actual techie advise, but just genereal info. The firm will probably be too tight to pay for any 'formal' training, so I'm looking at a dummies guide and the internet.

Any useful sites, books, tutorials will be welcomed!!

check this site, might be helpful to start the share point. its a training version. download the standalone edition.
