Word Freezes When Opening Network Docs?
Hi all, I have some problems when trying to open Word documents on a mapped network drive. I can open Excel files no problem on that drive. The Word program has no problems opening files on its local drive. The problem occurs when I either browse on the network drive and open a file, or go to the network drive and double click a Word doc.The server is a Dell with a Quad Core 1.6Ghz Xeon chip and 3.24GB RAM. It has 300GB HD. My computer is a Dell Inspiron 530 using Windows 2002, and has a Quad core Intel Chip with 3GB RAM and 500GB HD.Thanks for all suggestions.
P.S. Interestingly, Wordpad has no problems opening the documents. |
