While Outlook is downloading mail, if one opens an email and clicks on a url within that email, Outlook hangs (stops responding and receiving) and will need to be closed and when reopened and receiving mail, receives duplicates of previously received mail up to the point of the hang.

This started happening a few weeks ago, and I cannot determine a single action or activity that corresponded with it.

Any ideas?

HI,

I understand here is that when u click on a web link outlook hangs,

First when you open outlook, wait for few min/secs till all the messages are downloaded into your outlook profile.

Once you see, finished, then pl check one by one all the mails.

Thanks for your reply...and that has always worked! What started happening a month or so ago was the problem I've described...always before I could be looking at a url while other mail was downloading...thought maybe this was an MS Office auto update issue.
