pictures from the web not showing in publisher

hi, I had used some images from the web and copied and paste them into a publisher leaflet, all seemed fine but about a week ago when I open the documents the picture is not displayed just a space where the picture should be. I am using publisher 2003 on xp. if any one can help that would be great. thanks.

Re: pictures from the web not showing in publisher

Theresa W: To include images from other web sources into your own document, you can use either a "link" to the original web image, or a copy of the image which you have copied onto your own hard-drive.

If you "linked" to the image, which I assume you did, and the original website changes, modifies, or deletes that image, you will no longer have a valid link.

A word of caution however, when copying images from the web for use in your own publications, please ensure you are not violating someone elses copyrights. You would not like to see someone "stealing" the results of your efforts, nor vice versa. Best of luck.
