Outlook - can't send/receive
I have Outlook 2007, it won't send send/receive, i get the following message, (0x80040900) 'The server name you entered cannot be found on the network(it might be down temporarily)'
Outlook Express works fine with the same settings If i go to Mail in control panel, go to the account and click test account settings, it works fine. It's a pop3 account. Please can you help |

Are your pop3 and smtp settings right?
What ISP are you with. your pop3 should be like this say tour email address is punani@windowslive.com your pop3 will be pop3.windowslive.com and your smtp should be smtp.windowslive.com |

All my settings are fine, smtp and pop3 are correct. I know this because Outlook Express is able to send and receive emails with the same pop3 & smtp. Also when I test the account setting in mail/control panel it works. It doesn't work when I do the test within Outlook 2007.
I've seen the same problem posted on other forums, but no one had a solution that worked. |
