Hi
I have created a Powerpoint presentation that i want to link to from an intranet. The ppsx (2007 file) is located on the server when I double click it it opens up and autoruns perfectly. However when I hyperlink to it from the intranet it opens the presentation in Powerpoint and does not run it in the viewer automatically. Is there a way to get to open in the viewer automatically. Hope my problem is clear thanks for any help or suggestions! ![]() Cheers ST |

Re: Hyperlinking to PPS presentation
It sounds like it's a problem with the associations on the machine you're using to view it. When office viewers are installed after the office suite, they'll generally set themselves as the default for opening those types of files. So if the machine you're running the files on doesn't have viewer, I think you'll have to get it before those files will start opening in that.

Re: Hyperlinking to PPS presentation
There is actually a program called Powerpoint Viewer. It is just the viewer of Powerpoint - you can't change the file.
My computer recently crashed, so I lost the program. If you can make the hyperlink open the link with the Powerpoint Viewer, then it should function correctly. |
