Microsoft Word 03' and 00' - saving autocorrect entries
Hello. I am currently running 2 different computers with a long list of autoentries. My word 2000 has a huge database of autocorrect entries for hospital procedures, that are updated daily. I also have a computer with office 2003 at home that I use for those autocorrect entries as well. I need to save those entries from the word 2000 and transfer them to word 2003. I also need to be able to save and update the ones from 2003 as I have clients who will be doing the same thing as I and using word 2003.
These are the files with the .acl extension and normal.dot. I have tried to simply just copy them and place them on the new computer, but they dont have the latest entries. I believe that the entries are stored in the registry. There is a procedure on how to do this for 2003 only, by updating words macros. It gives you this support.dot file. Once that is done, you can run it, do a backup or restore. However, I tried this on one of the systems, and it wouldnt recognize the backup file. On another system with 03, the support.dot file wouldnt even show up after updating. Please help, this is very important. thank you |
