Outlook 2003 sends out more e-mails than are in the Outbox

Hi,

Let's say I have 3 e-mails in my Outbox. When I click on "Send/Receive" the message at the bottom says "Sending 1 of 4 messages". It seems to always send 1 additional e-mail more than are actually in the Outbox. When I check the "Send Items" folder, there are only the three (or whatever other number of e-mails I sent), not the additional one.

Can someone make rhyme or reason of that behaviour?

I just fixed a similar problem by creating a new inbox file (.PST)

You can do this very easily in Outlook 2003 using Tools, Email Acounts, view or change ooption, deliver new Email to the following location, click on the "New Outlook Data File" Button.
I could not send attachements larger than about 250KB without sending lots of copies. For the last 12 moths or more I needed to monitor the outbox and time the sending then delete the offending message until last night. I hope this helps lots of Outlook Users....
