Question [SOLVED] Help with Excel and links

Using Office 2003. I have a financial spreadsheet where data is entered across columns with the latest monetary value manually entered. Example:

B2 5423
B3 7324
B4 6532 (All dollar amounts)

Then at the bottom of the column(s) the latest value is manually rentered and then totalled across the columns.

B22 6532 (same as most recent entry above)

My question is: How can I have the data entered in B4 (in this example) also be automatically entered in B22? In other words, how can I avoid having to duplicate the most recent or current money value entries at the bottom of the chart?

Bill

Re: Help with Excel and links

If you have record numbers in column A you can use

=LOOKUP(MAX(A1:A19),A1:B19)

For the table
A B
1 5423
2 7324
3 6532

B22 will have 6532

When you add a 4th number
A B
1 5423
2 7324
3 6532
4 1254

B22 will change to 1254
