Re: tmp files
First of all, have a quick read of this article: Description of how Word creates temporary files. This will help you understand the mechanism behind the temp-file creation, and identify the nature of the specific tmp at hand.
Then, you need to open this tmp file. Normally, the temporary files that Word creates, open without problems in Word. However, if this specific tmp is damaged, it won't open; and you need in this case to know How to recover text from any document in Word 2000. Last but not least, you may be having a configuration problem, which leads to temporary files being created abnormally. So, have a look at When you save a file in Word, the file is given a "~XXXX.temp.doc" name, as well. |
