Office XP / Office 2007

Hello,

I installed Office 2007 about three months ago when I did a clean XP Pro install.
I don't know, I guess I'm at a point where too many functions just bug me.
I'm thinking about going back to Office XP.
It just worked so well for me..................
Can Office XP & Office 2007 play nice on the same machine?
Knowing MS I doubt it.
What risks would I be taking by uninstalling 2007 & re-installing XP.
All new docs have been save as "Compatibility Mode" because the new files ending in .***x where a massive pain in the back side.
Looking for some advice !

Yes, you can have both Office XP and 2007 running on the same machine (I have three versions of Office installed in my computer: XP, 2003 and 2007). You will need to fully uninstall Office 2007 and then (1) install XP & (2) re-install 2007. Be aware that you will need to be using Outlook 2007, though; Outlook cannot work in parallel with an older version. Information about using 2007 Office suites and programs on a computer that is running another version of Office.

Re: Office XP / Office 2007

Zaz,

Thanks for the info.
Just pulled 2007 off the machine & re-installed XP.
Everything seems to be working fine.
All the best,
