[SOLVED] Excel 2003 Error - Removal of Toolbar Item

Recently, I installed Nitro PDF. After using Adobe Acrobat Pro v8 for years, I decided to swap back.

After I uninstalled Nitro PDF, I opened Microsoft Excel [2003]. Upon opening Excel I received a few errors. I noticed the old "Nitro PDF" menu item still exists in the Excel toolbar, with a drop down menu that is "grayed out."

I right-clicked on the toolbar and I could not find a listing for "Nitro PDF."

Can someone tell me how to remove this old menu item from the toolbar of Excel? I remember once someone told me I could delete the "normal.dot" file and this would fix it [?].

Hi

Normal.dot is for Word. Excel stores toolbar customisation in an .xlb file. Close Excel and do a Search for any files with the extension .xlb - then rename or delete them.
